Arthur Pequegnat "Moncton" Wall Clock, 15-day movement, double spring graham deadbeat escapement. In fumed oak. Arthur Pequegnat came from Switzerland to Berlin, Ontario Canada in 1874. Around 1897 he built a factory in berlin to manufacture bicycles! The town's name changed from Berlin to Kitchener in 1916, because of WWI. When it started to decline, he began in 1904 to convert part of his factory to making clock movements. In 1920 he set up his small factory for case production in nearby Breslau. The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Company. Arthur died in 1927 and relatives continued to operate the company until 1941.
